The main difference between these two styles is that with Ashiatsu, I use my feet and stand on the table for the majority of the massage. Ashiatsu can provide deeper pressure than traditional massage, though I can also deliver deep pressure with my hands! In both styles, I incorporate knowledge from all the modalities I have studied, including trigger point therapy, relaxation techniques, table Thai, assisted stretching, and deep tissue work.
